History:

[more detailed version coming soon]

Born in Floaroma Town, Jupiter was an only child; her mother was an housewife and her father worked at Valley Windworks. Being unemployed, her mother used to spend her days at home and so she put all of herself in growing magnificent flowers for their small garden. Since her birth, even when she was’t able to talk yet, Jupiter showed an attraction for that colorful stuff she was surrounded by and she would send out joyful cries every time she could sit near any.
But, this wasn’t her only peculiarity; as a child, and so as a girl and then a woman, she enjoyed overhearing others’ talks and snooping every time her ears were able to. Because of this shamelessness, yet mostly because her mouth never got to speak too much and cause trouble, she was patted on her head and given winks by all the ladies around her, which made her become self-assured and aware of what people can and cannot say. Abilities that will be useful to climb the ranks of Team Galactic.
However, not everything was roses and flowers. Having her husband out most of the time and a daughter who was rapidly growing up, her mother soon started to wish for a second child. She tried and tried, desired and consumed her tears, but another one didn’t come out no matter what. Instead of giving up, the woman continued to try, until she wasn’t even able to remember Jupiter or her partner’s lives. Seeing the terrible shape her mother was in, suffering of being a nullity for the mother she loved, Jupiter started not to despise the deluded or herself, but their emotions. She truly despised them, being useless and whithout any logic. ‘How may someone suffer for who she does neither know, forgetting the ones who love her the most? And how someone be hurt instead of commiserating such a woman for the silly she is?’ She always asked hersef.
At that time, an afternoon she was out to bring her father some materials for his job, Jupiter met her first pokémon; Skuntank. It was lying on some grass, looking at her with lazy eyes. Perhaps believing she had some food with her, it teased and followed her, and they shortly became “acquaintances”. After a month, she faithfully joined her chance to clear the world from the nonsense, Team Galactic, and Skuntank followed her.
She eventually came back home twice afterwards, but her family didn’t want to see her anymore and they moved to Hoenn. The rest of this story and who she is now, we all know it.

Flamethrower - Poison Gas

Night Slash     - Explosion

Female | Quirky Nature | Leaf Guard

Ancientpower - Giga Drain

Poisonpowder - Bind

Cyrus gave Tangrowth to Jupiter when she was first assigned to the Galactic Eterna Building; even being a present from her Master, the Commander initially ignored it, but as soon as her team accepted the new member she was starting to enjoy its natural boldness too. Nowadays she refers to it as her Surprise Box Tangle.

Male | Hasty Nature | Inner Focus

Poison Fang - Mean Look

Air Slash      - Fly

Male | Quirky Nature | Liquid Ooze

Sludge Bomb - Encore

Body Slam     - Sludge

Jupiter got a Gulpin while she was out in Hoenn, almost by chance. Even if she would usually hate green, its chubby face seemed lovely to her, and with the help of her Tangrowth she caught it. Gulpin was a stubborn, fiery pokémon, and it took much to him to trust her and obey her commands. During her second trip to Hoenn, they reached a compromise, and it evolved into a Swalot a week later.

Male | Lonely Nature | Anticipation

Poison Jab  - Taunt

Revenge     - Sucker Punch

Male | Sassy Nature | Effect Spore

Giga Drain - Faint Attack

Toxic         - Ingrain

Jupiter caught her Foongus while she was out in Unova after Grimsley’s Halloween Party.

Relationships:

[Sird and other interactions coming soon]

Janet Halley:

Food with benefits, occasional electrician.

Okay, now seriously. The two met when Jupiter came back at the HQ and Janet, when she was still called M-31, told her what was happening. Those weren’t good times for Team Galactic and Jupiter was surprised by her smartness and dedication; because of the opposite way of acting of the other grunts, the Commander unconsciusly grew attached to that single spark of respect. Eventually the two talked again and again, which brough her closer to Charon as well -since M-31 was one of his grunts, not hers. When Jupiter allowed Sird to enter Charon’s lab and M-31 ran away, the woman freaked out and moved Heaven and Earth to find her. It couldn’t be friendship, or even more, and Jupiter first thought of it as the girl being her favorite underling. Because of this conviction, when M-31 confessed to her, the Commander didn’t want to give her an answer. But she didn’t want to let her go either. There was, in that cute little girl, something different from all the people she’d met before, and she knew she felt somewhat for her; but what, she wasn’t able or willing to recognize it. Trying to forget, she flirted with another person, but M-31’s insistence broke her shield. They’re currently in a relationship.

Janet managed to take out of Jupiter more and more defenses; from the least important one, her apparent indifference to names, to the deepest one. The Commander would show the Scientist her own room and past, if the girl asked, and perhaps take her to Hoenn too -because she is the oh-so-coveted ray of sunshine. However, Jupiter hasn’t told her the three words yet; a last thing keeps the Commander from doing it.

Cyrus:

Jupiter’s way of acting towards Cyrus has always been an odd one. She joined him and his Team Galactic when her mother’s obsession to have a son became too weigthy to overshadow everything else; his words gave her fear of the nonsense a frame, and she didn’t think about it two times before following him. She lost her family, her old life and at first was cautious; he seemed to her grand, cryptic, and because she couldn’t understand him as much as she would have, Jupiter was always ready to bow and never to question. She could have been compared to Setsuna (Kyoshiro to Towa no Sora) or to Ame Ochibana (Denpa teki na Kanojo). But such was just pretending. She started to observe him, study his words, and misgiving became respect. She thought of him as a puzzle, and the more pieces she found, the more she complied with it. Her senseless bowing became reasonable accepting orders too, and since she had faith in him, she started to show herself. Doubts, questions, opinions, light jokes. Without being insubordinate, rather trying to perform better at work and for the Master she believed in. When she was reluctant, she talked, sure there would be a proper answer; when she agreed, she did her plain best. Master Cyrus vanished in the Distortion World and she was devastated to run away; but then came back. She lost faith in Team Galactic, but not in him, remarkable man. As a matter of fact he came back.

Now, even after seven years, she respects him as before. She jokes with him, and would both argue with and follow him, as before. But this doesn’t mean that, if he reveals himself to have lost his original temper, she would not leave the puzzle in half.

Charon:

Jupiter and Charon don’t share a long past; to say it all, they had worked together a few times before Cyrus’ disappearance, but they didn’t bind that much. Jupiter had the chance to know him better because of M-31 and, in a way, because of Sird.

She thought of him as a creepy old man without any manner, first, and whatever he did she was intolerant. She always admitted his genius, being even capable to reproduce the Red Chain, yet his weird acting and personality and almost everything about him made her doubtful. Could the role of Commander suit him? When she returned to the Headquarter, step by step, her opinion changed. Maybe his hard work, maybe his way of seeing things, maybe that same personality she used to dislike once. In any case, before and after Sird’s advent, she revalued him. She still believes he’s kind of creepy and outspoken, but at the same time he’s a valuable scientist and human being, wise and truthful. Also a little too much pokerfaced, but useful strategy is never to despise. Moreover, perhaps without knowing it, he truly helped her with her family. Charon is overall the Commander Jupiter talks to, values and trusts the most; his retirement, and she admitted such, will be a great loss. And she does plan to keep in touch. Among the Galactics he would be her only “friend”, if she had. He gave her a Master Ball.

Detective Koya:

Koya and Jupiter never met in person, and the only thing she knew about him was that he had sent Charon to prison. Despite that, she wanted to see what kind of Detective he was; and, once talked, she started to show interest in him. She sees him as her nonexistent brother; slave and weapon of emotions, mashed still pushing ahead after all. For this, she tried to tease and make him open his eyes kindly, just to let him overrule them. He initially cut any attempt to have a durable chat -oh, Detectives!- but then they grew a little closer, some kind of random-talking buddies. After her first trip in Hoenn, Jupiter claimed to have a special cake for him and to want both to meet and battle him, and he agreed. They still have to meet each other.

Jupiter doesn’t really know what to do with Koya. Because of their jobs, they can’t be more than occasional talking buddies, but may he be her second chance? And if, she wonders for what. In this mess, she do cares about him, and never takes her eyes off him. We could say she shows her elder sister side.

Aithne - Her name means ‘fire’, but Jupiter would better address her as ‘blast’. The Commander believes the female Magma grunt to be clever and a pleasant company rarely to despise. She never gets bored talking to Aithne.

Casper - Jupiter says herself to be Casper’s knight. It’s kind of a joke, but she truly likes the Rocket Grunt, and she gave her a Shuppet.

Lt. Surge - Surge and the woman see things differently, which brings the both of them to argue most of the time. Interesting, reasonable arguing; that’s why Jupiter overall values him.

Ghetsis - Has a pleasant feeling, would get to know him more.

Thundurus - He always manages to entertain her. Fun buddy?
